Quick video showing the two different types of bind, some Spektrum receivers support both preset and hold failsafe. The servos are labelled T for Throttle, A for Aileron and E for Elevator - A and E show the failsafe handling for ALL other channels except throttle. Hold failsafe - throttle goes to bind position (idle), all other channels hold last position when signal lost. Preset failsafe - all channels go to bind position when signal lost. The two binding procedures are: Preset Failsafe (where supported) power receiver with bind plug inserted, then immediately remove bind plug before switching on Tx with bind pressed. Hold failsafe power receiver with bind plug inserted and leave bind plug in while switching on Tx with bind pressed. List of receivers shown in video and the failsafe's they support below: Spektrum AR7610 - Both preset and Hold failsafe OrangeRX R800X - Both preset and Hold failsafe (I also have AR8000 which supports both preset and hold failsafe) OrangeRX R615 - only hold failsafe Spektrum AR6210 - only hold failsafe Spektrum AR6100e - Only Preset failsafe For most small models, there probably isn't much to choose, as depending on the exact circumstances where signal is lost, either may be good or bad. For GPS quadcopters with return home feature, a preset failsafe ensures the quad will return home if signal is lost, so is a big plus, you can workaround this with Naza by using Heli model type, and throttle channel for U (flight mode select) and pitch/Aux1 channel for Naza throttle, this way you are using your 'preset failsafe' throttle channel to select return home flight mode, set flat throttle curves for your flight modes (GPS/atti/manual) and flat hold throttle position for failsafe/return home. I posted another video on Naza transmitter setup which goes through this and how to safely check failsafe on the bench with props removed. My advice is to make sure you understand the two types of failsafe, and select the most appropriate one for your aircraft, also make sure you test this on the ground (with props removed for safety), so you KNOW what your model will do in the case of signal loss before it happens. Hope this is useful.

A preset is simply a combination of adjustments, or a recipe, that's been designed to solve specific problem. You can save your own presets as well as easily modify built in ones using the Adjustment controls. Presets are a great way to get the recommended adjustments for your image. Simply choose a preset that best matches your image’s subject. While presets are useful, remember they are really just a starting point. Presets cannot be combined or “stacked”, but they can be modified. Choose the one that solves most of your problems and then customize it with the Adjustment controls. You can then make your own presets to apply combinations of your favorite adjustments To Create a preset is easy. Simply use an existing preset and customize the controls or start from scratch. Once the sliders match your preferences its time to create a preset. Consider using options like the Automatic Strength Selection and Face Aware Exposure options to make a preset more useful. At the bottom of the Adjustment controls, click the Plus icon to Save the current settings as a new preset. You can also click the button labeled Add or edit a preset at the bottom of the Presets chooser. A new window opens. Enter a Preset Name, give it a descriptive name that’s easy to understand. Very long names may be cut off in the toolbar. Choose from any of the loaded User Preset groups or enter a name for a new group. Click to choose an icon from the list to help you find this preset later. You can also choose the ABC icon to use the first letter of each word of the preset name as the icon. Enter in a useful description for the new preset. This will make it easier to find and use the presets when working in Perfectly Clear. Click OK to store the new preset. That’s all there is to it! Now, you’ll see that Preset in the presets panel. It will be in a "User Preset" group, unless you had already selected custom Preset Group before saving the preset. If you want to make a new group to hold presets, that’s easy. Just click the Add a group button. Enter the group’s name and click the plus button to add it. Do not press the Return or Enter key when adding the name. You can easily move presets between groups. Make sure the left panel is open to view the Presets List. Open up any group you want to modify and just drag the preset you'd like to move into the new Group. Note you can only move User Presets, and you can only edit the contents of User Groups. The presets provided by Perfectly Clear cannot be renamed, moved, or deleted. However, you CAN choose a system preset and then modify it. Just save that as a new preset. This allows you to easily add that preset to any User Group. Making a custom group is a great way to customize the top toolbar. Just put your favorite into a custom group and you’ve now your own favorites just one click away. You can even use the shortcut keys 1—0 on the top of the keyboard to access your 10 favorite presets even faster. If you want to modify a user preset, start by selecting the Preset you’d like to modify. Now make any changes that you’d like to with the Adjustment controls. Click the Add a Preset button at the bottom of the Presets panel. Choose to save the preset with the same name and in the same group, and it will replace the previous preset. If you want to remove a preset, just locate it in the Presets list. Hover over the Preset or Group you would like to delete. A white 'trash can' icon will appear.Click the trash can icon to permanently delete the selected Preset or Group. In the pop-up window click Yes to confirm the deletion of the preset.

And In this video I’m going to show you how to use filters to modify your sources inside of OBS Studio. This will allow you to do things like cropping, green screen effects, and even delay different sources. The thing you need to realize about filters, is that they can be added to every source individually. However, if you apply filters to a source in one scene, they will carry over to any other scenes that your sources are used in. This means that if you want to have different filters applied to the same source, you’d have to add that type of source in again, and then name it something different, such as image 2. We’ll touch more on this in a future video, about setting up our scenes. Another thing I’d like to quickly mention is that there are two types of filters: Audio/Video Filters and Effects Filters. We’re going to start by going through each effect filter first. Let’s move on to an easier to understand filter, crop. Add it just like we did for the Image Mask/Blend filter, and we’ll see a familiar set up. Leave Relative check marked. Let’s pretend that our webcam has a bit too much showing on the left side and top. We can use the arrows on the right to slowly adjust the amount to crop by simply clicking and holding. The scroll filter can actually be used in some interesting ways. First, it’s very useful to make text sources move from left to right, if they’re too long. Next, let’s say you have a repeatable pattern, or maybe a static image that you’d like to see move a bit, you can use scroll to make it move horizontally or vertically. To do so, just adjust the sliders with the speed of each direction you’d like to have it move. OBS will automatically make the source sort of repeat itself. Let’s go ahead and move on to our next filter, the Color Key, but let’s actually talk about Chroma key as well. So, you might have tried each of these out yourself, and you may be wondering “what’s the difference”? Well, I’m going to make it quite simple for you. If you want to filter out or hide a green screen, use the Chroma Key. From what I’ve read and seen before, Chroma key is what more streamers will want to use. A color key can be useful with graphics with a specific color you’d like removed. Anyways, I’m going to actually add in an image as an example of a green screen, and show you what the settings do inside of these filters. Let’s work with the chroma key. We can work from the preset colors under Key Color Type, or we can pick a color of our own. Fro green screens, this is generally the best idea, to select the closest color to your screen possible. So, with Custom Color selected, let’s hit select color. Here, we can select colors in various ways, or we can actually use “Pick Screen Color” to pull up a sort of eye dropper that will match the color we’re hovering over. Go to your source and select the most common color shade you see in it, that you’d like to key out. Simply click it and you’ll have the color you need. You can hit Add to custom colors, to save this color selection, and then Okay. If you’re using a green screen, you might already see some good results, if not, don’t worry, we can do some tweaking to the options. First, if you plan on using a green screen, I can’t recommend anything better than properly lighting it. Having a more consistent color of green screen will produce the best results. Ideally the entire screen is the exact same color/shade. But, in reality this isn’t possible. So, let’s talk about what each option does.

Presets can be bought and then downloaded online, downloaded for free on various online platforms and they can be created. We are not going to be looking at downloading or creating the presets as that is out of the scope of this tutorial. In this tutorial, I am assuming that you have Lightroom installed, have a program that can unzip compressed files, you have downloaded a zip file with the presets or have preset files available on your computer and that you know how to navigate the folder structure of your computer be it a Mac or a PC. Without further ado, the steps: 1. Open Lightroom and open any image that you have on your computer. This is important because we will be using this image to see if the presets were installed correctly and that they work. 2. Ensure that you have gone to the develop module as shown below. Note that the active module will have white text while the modules that are unselected have grey font color. 3. After you are inside “Develop”, you will see a box of presets on your left as shown below: This box shows all of the presets that you already have installed in your Lightroom application. This is where the presets you install will be listed. 4. Now we need to go into the folder where you have the zip file of the presets downloaded into. If your presets are not inside a zip file, skip this step. For those who have their presets inside a zip file, extract them to a folder that you can access easily. For those whose presets are already unzipped or were not sipped in the first place, ensure to make note of the folder your presets reside in. Also note that Lightroom presets have an “lrtemplate” file extension 5. Go back to Lightroom and have your cursor hover anywhere inside the grey presets box. Do not left click on anything but rather right click inside this box if you are on PC or hold down command and left click. When you do, this menu will pop up: Click on new folder, enter the name of the folder where your presets will reside in. When you click create, you will see it added to the left hand side in your list of preset folders. 6. Now right click, on a PC, or hold control and left click, on a mac, on the name of the folder you have just created and left click on import. Once you do you will be taken to your file explorer where you will need to navigate to the folder where your presets reside. 7. Making sure you are in the right folder inside your file explorer, select all of the presets that you would like to import. After making the selection, click on import. 8. You will now be taken back to Lightroom where, depending on your computer speed, the presets will take a few seconds to be listed inside the folder you crated inside the presets box. 9. After you see the names of the imported presets, it is just a matter of testing these presets using the images we selected in the first step. Click on a name of a preset to apply it. http://www.infoparrot.com/how-to-install-lightroom-presets/ Learn how to install presets for Lightroom 5/6 on both MAC and PC. The latest firmware for the Intellijel Cylonix Shapeshifter adds and improves a huge list of features. This video gives a short demonstration of what's new in 2.02. Version 2.02 Changed: encoder selection for CHORD TYPE or BANK now wraps around the entire list but quick rotation will shortcut you (stop) at the list end or beginning. Version 2.01.1 Fixed: COMB+LOAD operation to initialize all settings to zero. Version 2.01 Added: the CHORD TYPE parameter can now be controlled by the MODB signal. Added: the wave bank selection for oscillators 1 and 2 can now be controlled by the MODB signal. Added: the two oscillators now have independently selectable SYNC MODES, and both now have 1-shot and Hold modes. Added: pressing the INT. SYNC button twice causes the internal sync event generator to drop in frequency by one octave (the INT. SYNC LED flashes when this mode is selected). Added: when the QUANT. button is pressed twice the PITCH2 input becomes a CLOCK input for oscillator 2, where the period of the oscillator 2 cycle is equal to the input clock period. The QUANT. led flashes in this mode. In this mode the RATIO input sets the clock division/multiplication factor. Added: 8 more pulse modes, including PWM, Square and random. Added: added another mode to the PRESET STEP menu, where the preset is randomized on each step. Added: pressing COMBO MODE and MORPH while in PRESET MODE randomizes the settings. Added: pressing DETUNE and LOAD while in PRESET MODE displays the firmware version. Added: the oscillator 2 output can be directed to modulate the SHAPE1 or TILT parameters. Added: the MODA signal can now be used to serve as the SYNC source for oscillator 2 or to step presets. Changed: the DECAY parameter range has been changed to give a smoother change with more values at longer decay times. Changed: the PERC. MODE LED now flashes when the Gate behaviour is selected (by pressing the PERC. MODE button twice). Changed: the initial part of the INT. FM control curve has been changed to give more resolution at the low end. Changed: the number of presets has been increased to 100 and all presets are now stored in non-volatile memory. The presets now have user-definable 8-character labels, which can be randomized. Changed: the number of the last preset to be loaded or saved is remembered, and is loaded upon powerup (previously preset# 1 was loaded on powerup). Changed: the range of the TILT parameter has been lowered by a factor of 4. This gives more resolution in the interesting range of the tilt effect. Changed: the bank numbers and chord type no longer wrap around, making it easier to reach the ends. Changed: knobs are set to soft-pickup after a preset is loaded, even when leaving preset mode. Soft-pickup action is changed so that the knob takes over from the preset value when it is moved a little bit. Changed: the labels for the MODA destinations “Shape1” and “Shape2” have been changed to “Shaper1” and “Shaper2” to better reflect the actual behaviour in these modes. Fixed: Added a short (4msec) delay to the MODB Preset Stepping after the sync pulse is received. This is needed because many sequencers send the gate signal before the voltage has settled to its new value.

Well, whether you're a beginner learning your very first synth or you're an intermediate to advanced sound design practitioner looking to add another weapon to your arsenal, there is not doubt in my mind that this course will bring you value. The course is made up of 37 lessons in total ranging from around 5 to 30 minutes each. In these lessons, I'll walk you through every. single. parameter. giving you detailed digestible information, practical use cases for each parameter and a ton of useful knowledge that goes beyond what the manual can offer. Specifically we’ll be cover the following: In the Making Sound section we'll learn how to make sound by taking advantage of... 1) The Wavetable Oscillators, which will allow us to make sound by practicing wavetable synthesis 2) The Sub Oscillator which will allow us to make sound by added a complimentary low end 3) The Noise Oscillator which will allow us to make sound by playing samples right within Serum itself. In the Shaping Sound section we’ll learn how to shape our existing sounds by taking advantage of... 1) The voicing and portamento module which will allow us to shape our sound from note to note 2) The wide selection of filters, which will allow us to practice some subtractive synthesis 3) The top notch selection of effects, which will allow us to completely transform our existing sound and practice what I consider the other half of sound design 4) The Serum FX VST, which will allow us to apply a handful of Serum’s features as an effect to any sound source we desire. In the Modulating Sound section we’ll learn how to modulate our existing sounds by taking advantage of… 1) The Envelopes which will allow us to shape the amplitude structure of our sounds, among other things 2) The LFOs which will allow us to create some rhythmic repeating modulations for our sounds 3) Our MIDI Note Velocity & MIDI Note Pitch which will allows us to modulate each note a bit differently 4) The Macro controls which will allow us to create some manual modulation by way of automation in our DAW 5) The Mod Wheel & Pitch Bend which will allow us to use some additional modulation & modulation of our pitch 6) The Mod Matrix which will allow us to take complete control over all of our modulation connections And lastly, in the Advanced section we’ll learn how to use all of Serum’s advanced features by taking advantage of…. 1) The Global Tab which will allow us to customize Serum-wide settings and preferences 2) The Main Menu which will allow us to do a handful of important tasks throughout our workflow 3) The ability to create custom presets which will allow us to save and share our favorite sounds that we create in Serum for later use. 4) The ability to create custom wavetables which will allow us to save and share our favorite wavetables we create in Serum for later use. This includes 4 in-depth lessons covering the Wavetable Editor's Big Wave Display, Menu Bar, FFT Area & Formula Parser. As well as 2 additional lessons explaining how to import audio and render and resample our existing patch. My overall goal in creating this course is to provide you with enough knowledge so that YOU can experiment within the domain of Serum without ANY limitations when creating original sounds for your OWN productions. By the end of the course, you'll not only be a Serum Ninja, but you'll also be equipped with a handful of sound design skills that you can apply in just about any other synth. Hopefully this Serum tutorial is helpful. Good luck with your music production & sound design endeavors! Btw, RTFM stands for Read The F***king Manual... It's my fancy way of saying tutorial.
