ENTER MY SERUM VST GIVEAWAY ($189 Value Synth) - http://seribeats.com --- Overall Omnisphere 2 is dope but definitely not something I would use consistently other than for the presets. Even after I got used to the interface it didn't feel intuitive for sound design. Here's what I liked and didn't like about it... Liked: 1. Huge library and huge selection of presets and packs. 2. Packed with synth features and rhythmic/arp options to make complex sounds. You will never run out of Oscillators :) 3. Has high quality effects and Oscillators. Didn't Like: 1. In this video review, Pro Tools Expert Deputy Editor Dan Cooper takes a look at UVI's latest Synth instrument - UVX80. The UVX80 is based upon a popular mid 80's Japanese synth keyboard and comes bundled with over 250 patches. The UVX80 feature set and GUI design are both typical UVI, great for regular users of UVI synth instruments as the UVI synth familiarity in this product will quickly diminish any kind of learning curve. There is a vast selection of presets that lend themselves more to rhymic styles of synth sounds. I found I only needed to hold a key down for 2 bars to get inspired to produce a song. Quick video showing the two different types of bind, some Spektrum receivers support both preset and hold failsafe. The servos are labelled T for Throttle, A for Aileron and E for Elevator - A and E show the failsafe handling for ALL other channels except throttle. Hold failsafe - throttle goes to bind position (idle), all other channels hold last position when signal lost. Preset failsafe - all channels go to bind position when signal lost. The two binding procedures are: Preset Failsafe (where supported) power receiver with bind plug inserted, then immediately remove bind plug before switching on Tx with bind pressed. Hold failsafe power receiver with bind plug inserted and leave bind plug in while switching on Tx with bind pressed. List of receivers shown in video and the failsafe's they support below: Spektrum AR7610 - Both preset and Hold failsafe OrangeRX R800X - Both preset and Hold failsafe (I also have AR8000 which supports both preset and hold failsafe) OrangeRX R615 - only hold failsafe Spektrum AR6210 - only hold failsafe Spektrum AR6100e - Only Preset failsafe For most small models, there probably isn't much to choose, as depending on the exact circumstances where signal is lost, either may be good or bad. For GPS quadcopters with return home feature, a preset failsafe ensures the quad will return home if signal is lost, so is a big plus, you can workaround this with Naza by using Heli model type, and throttle channel for U (flight mode select) and pitch/Aux1 channel for Naza throttle, this way you are using your 'preset failsafe' throttle channel to select return home flight mode, set flat throttle curves for your flight modes (GPS/atti/manual) and flat hold throttle position for failsafe/return home. I posted another video on Naza transmitter setup which goes through this and how to safely check failsafe on the bench with props removed. My advice is to make sure you understand the two types of failsafe, and select the most appropriate one for your aircraft, also make sure you test this on the ground (with props removed for safety), so you KNOW what your model will do in the case of signal loss before it happens. Hope this is useful.

Learn how to use compression: http://learncompression.com Learn to mix hip-hop: http://mixinghiphop.com Improve your ears: http://quiztones.com Mixing tips: http://theproaudiofiles.com How to configure your Pro Tools recording sessions in to make it easier to jump around from one section to another. Also, how to focus on individual instruments or groups of instruments if you're going to be doing some editing. --- Transcript: I'm gonna demonstrate some tricks that you can use to configure your recording sessions inside of Pro Tools to make it easier to do things like jump around from one section of your song to another section of your song. Or do things like focus on individual instruments or groups of instruments if you know that you're going to be doing a lot of editing of them. Now it does take a bit of extra work on the front end to set up your session to do all these things, however if you do it, a lot of times this can, in fact, speed up a lot of your workflow for the remaining time that you're having to edit in that session. First is how you can use memory locations to do a bunch of different things. Also how to use zoom presets. So let's first start out with the memory locations. Many people are familiar with the basics of memory locations and what you can use them for, so for instance, as the name would suggest, you can have your computer kind of memorize the different locations or store in it's memory the parts of your song that you're interests in marking. So if you want to make the introduction, the chorus, and the verse, it's just a matter of bringing the playback head or the cursor to that location and marking it. On my computer keyboard I can use function and enter, that's gonna create a location. I'll call this intro. Next up is my first verse. I know that it's at this location right here. And create another one, call it verse 1. My chorus comes in right here. I can continue to do this for the remainder of the different sections of my song. And then, all you have to do is just click on these different memory locations, and the playback head will jump to those different parts. So if you just wanna quickly jump to the first verse — listen to that. Jump to the chorus. Or the intro. This is kind of the simplest way that you can use memory locations, so I'll come back to these in a little while, and show you some more advanced features of how to use memory locations. Next up though I want to show you zoom presets. The idea with zoom presets is you can set the relative level that you've either zoomed in or zoomed out on your session and set them to hot keys, or buttons up here. So, for instance, the most basic way to zoom is to use the zoom tool. You can zoom in and out like this. You hold the Option key, you can zoom out. So, the way that I like to do it in my sessions is to kind of start from a global perspective for the broad big picture view of my session and set this to one of the zoom presets and then kind of zoom in at these different levels and set them as different presets. [removed] Coming back to memory locations now. You can use memory locations not only just to mark the different places of your song, but to actually zoom to that section of your song too, so it's kind of like a zoom preset and memory location in one. Let me show you that. I'm gonna zoom in and just focus on this part of my song. So I'll zoom in really far, fill the screen with this chorus. Go back to my memory locations window. I'm gonna create a new one now. Call this chorus 2. Now, what I had selected before is just this marker. You can actually do things like move on and use a selection tool. What this is gonna do is allow me to set a location or a memory and store in memory the fact that I have selected with the cursor just chorus 2. So if I've got it in loop record, I don't have to go in and find that location of the song and drag it out (the cursor) just to focus on that area. I just set up that selection right here. I can go in and click on zoom settings now. And click ok. I've got chorus 2, you'll see that it's got different things over here for the selection zoom. That way now, if I go back to a different part of my song: verse 1, now I click on chorus 2, it zooms me right back in on that chorus and then it's highlighted that part so that I can just listen back just to that part if that's the way I want to edit it. Hi Everyone, My name isReset Synchronizer’. I have been tasked to do a very specific job. Though, I look to be a very small piece of circuit, I help the whole design to get reset’ed without any violations. You can think of my job to be very similar and as critical as my brother ‘The clock’. Even I my own tree and my own network, just like my brother has. The only difference is, I am not as strict on skew, as my brother is. I am a bit flexible, which makes me even prouder and lovable by designers Let me try to show you in this video, what happens when you try to reset design without me, asynchronously My close friend (also the one who can’t stay without me, stay with me till end of this post) ‘rst_n’ looks to be very confident while asserting himself onto whole design and very successfully resets the complete design. But he creates lots of problems for the whole design, while de-asserting himself. How? Whenever he tries to de-assert himself near active edge of clock, he creates violations, doesn’t satisfy setup/hold requirements of flops, corrupts their data and creates meta-stability That’s when, these flops, came to me asking for a solution. I gave it a lot of thought, and tried to convince my friend ‘rst_n’ to allow me come and stand firmly in between him and the design. He’s my friend, and so I should be saving him, right. I mean, that’s friends are for…. So I came in between, as shown in this video Now, I have a very superior connection, with Vdd directly connecting me at my ‘D’ input and my friend ‘rst_n’ connecting with me at my ‘RST’ pin. Now, I ask my friend ‘rst_n’ to first reset me, so that I go to a ‘0’ state, and then first de-assert me, so that only I corrupt my data (which is ok for me). My connections are so strong (see the second flop rs2), that I can easily overcome my meta-stability in 2 clock cycles as shown in this video Not only that, I also take forward this ‘mst_rst_n’ signal to all flops in the design, like a tree, just like the clock, as shown in this video. Now that I look just like any reg2reg path, my other friends, flip-flops, should just check me like any other reg2reg setup and hold violation Since that now I am being treated with same dignity and respect that my brother ‘The clock’ is being treated, the violations produced due to my signal ‘mst_rst_n’ is being given a special name. I am not called setup or hold violation, I am being called as the proud ‘reset recovery’ and reset removal’ violations. So, do you wanna be my friend? If yes, get inside my class from below link: https://www.udemy.com/vlsi-academy-sta-checks-2/ From the above whole scenario, I have learnt one major thing in my life which is being very well composed as below quote by ‘Katrina Mayer’: “Even a small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s world” Do one small act of kindness today …. Photoshop offers many selection tools, but let’s try one of my favorites.Choose the Quick Selection tool. Now drag over our subject to make a basic selection. Don’t worry about being perfect. You can hold down the Option or the Alt key to subtract from the selection. Once the subject is roughly selected, click the Select and Mask button in the toolbar. A new dialog opens, this allows you to refine the selection. Check the box for Smart Radius under Edge Detection. Drag the Radius selection to improve the selection and create a gentler more natural selection. You can also drag the Feather and Smooth sliders to create a more gradual transition between selected and deselected pixels. If you’d like you can also click and paint on the preview image to touch up the selection. Be sure to try the Option and Alt key modifier as you paint as well. When the preview selection looks good, make sure the Output to menu has the option chosen for Selection. Click OK to create an active selection. Now, let’s apply Perfectly Clear to just the selected subject. Choose Filter Athentech Imaging Perfectly Clear Complete V3.The initial preview may show that the entire photo is being selected, this is what’s wanted. Due to the Smart Filter approach and the selection applied, we’ll use a mask to hide parts of the adjusted photo. For this image, I’m going to enhance the Sky. Let’s use both Color Restore and Color Vibrancy. The manual Sky Enhance controls may also help. Let’s also use Tint Correction to remove the color cast from the clouds.Remember you can preview between the before and after states. These are in fact the two different views that are going to be mixed. When satisfied, click OK to apply the Smart Filter.Notice that the Perfectly Clear effect is only applied to the sky. In the Layers panel, you’ll see a mask has been applied. The white areas are affected by the filter, and the black areas indicate where the original photo is showing through. If you’d like to refine this mix, you can click to make the mask active. Now using a paintbrush, I can modify the mask. White adds to the mask and black subtracts. You can also use a lower opacity brush or gray to blend the Smart Filter.Let’s try another technique. To start, I’ll nest this object inside another Smart Object. This workflow lets me apply a second instance of Perfectly Clear to the photo.Right-click on the Layer and choose to Convert to Smart Object. This command has now nested the previous image inside a new smart object. Now let’s optimize other areas of the photo. Choose Select Color Range. This command is very powerful. From the Select menu choose Sampled Colors and check the Localized Color Clusters box to limit the selection further. Now click on the image or preview to make an initial selection. Use the Shift key to add to this selection and the Option or Alt key to subtract. The white pixels will be affected and the black ones ignored. You can also use the Range and Fuzziness sliders to refine. When satisfied, Click OK. Now, let’s apply the second instance of Perfectly Clear to the image. Choose Filter Athentech Imaging Perfectly Clear Complete V3. Let’s use the Outdoor preset and adjust a few of the sliders to refine. The image looks a lot better.Click OK to apply the effect. Only the targeted pixels have been affected. If you decide you want to adjust the image, you can select the mask and just double click on the mask and then click to reuse the Color Range Command. You can also revisit the paintbrush techniques. To modify the filter, just double-click its name, If you want to modify the first instance that’s simple too. Just double-click the layer to open the smart object. When done making adjustments, close and save to update the file.

For more information and to purchase UVX80 visit the UVI website

Download: https://www.beatschool.io/download/product/fl-studio-trap/ This trap sound kit contains over 400 high quality presets and samples made specifically for use in FL Studio. It has huge 808 bass kicks, fat drum samples, classic TR-808 drums, vocal shouts, crazy synth sounds, and more! The 808-style kicks are custom processed and layered for maximum power. There's even a preset that allows you to make your own 808 kicks with plenty of options for customization. Most of the synths have some great customization and automation capabilities as well. You can listen to the demos in the video to get an idea of what can be made with the sounds in this pack. These demos only contain a small selection of sounds, so this pack offers much more than what you hear. You will need FL Studio 11.1.1 (or newer) Producer Edition or better to use all of these presets.

Well, whether you're a beginner learning your very first synth or you're an intermediate to advanced sound design practitioner looking to add another weapon to your arsenal, there is not doubt in my mind that this course will bring you value. The course is made up of 37 lessons in total ranging from around 5 to 30 minutes each. In these lessons, I'll walk you through every. single. parameter. giving you detailed digestible information, practical use cases for each parameter and a ton of useful knowledge that goes beyond what the manual can offer. Specifically we’ll be cover the following: In the Making Sound section we'll learn how to make sound by taking advantage of... 1) The Wavetable Oscillators, which will allow us to make sound by practicing wavetable synthesis 2) The Sub Oscillator which will allow us to make sound by added a complimentary low end 3) The Noise Oscillator which will allow us to make sound by playing samples right within Serum itself. In the Shaping Sound section we’ll learn how to shape our existing sounds by taking advantage of... 1) The voicing and portamento module which will allow us to shape our sound from note to note 2) The wide selection of filters, which will allow us to practice some subtractive synthesis 3) The top notch selection of effects, which will allow us to completely transform our existing sound and practice what I consider the other half of sound design 4) The Serum FX VST, which will allow us to apply a handful of Serum’s features as an effect to any sound source we desire. In the Modulating Sound section we’ll learn how to modulate our existing sounds by taking advantage of… 1) The Envelopes which will allow us to shape the amplitude structure of our sounds, among other things 2) The LFOs which will allow us to create some rhythmic repeating modulations for our sounds 3) Our MIDI Note Velocity & MIDI Note Pitch which will allows us to modulate each note a bit differently 4) The Macro controls which will allow us to create some manual modulation by way of automation in our DAW 5) The Mod Wheel & Pitch Bend which will allow us to use some additional modulation & modulation of our pitch 6) The Mod Matrix which will allow us to take complete control over all of our modulation connections And lastly, in the Advanced section we’ll learn how to use all of Serum’s advanced features by taking advantage of…. 1) The Global Tab which will allow us to customize Serum-wide settings and preferences 2) The Main Menu which will allow us to do a handful of important tasks throughout our workflow 3) The ability to create custom presets which will allow us to save and share our favorite sounds that we create in Serum for later use. 4) The ability to create custom wavetables which will allow us to save and share our favorite wavetables we create in Serum for later use. This includes 4 in-depth lessons covering the Wavetable Editor's Big Wave Display, Menu Bar, FFT Area & Formula Parser. As well as 2 additional lessons explaining how to import audio and render and resample our existing patch. My overall goal in creating this course is to provide you with enough knowledge so that YOU can experiment within the domain of Serum without ANY limitations when creating original sounds for your OWN productions. By the end of the course, you'll not only be a Serum Ninja, but you'll also be equipped with a handful of sound design skills that you can apply in just about any other synth. Hopefully this Serum tutorial is helpful. Good luck with your music production & sound design endeavors! Btw, RTFM stands for Read The F***king Manual... It's my fancy way of saying tutorial.
